Hemorrhoids
How To Get Rid Of Hemorrhoids
Finding a hemorrhoid cure when you suffer from this condition can seem very urgent, because hemorrhoids can cause pain, and even bleeding if the tissue becomes damaged. There are many different home remedies, treatments, and medical procedures that can cure hemorrhoids or shrink them and relieve the pain. Anyone who has ever experienced a hemorrhoid knows that sitting or having a bowel movement can be very uncomfortable when these are present. One way to eliminate hemorrhoids is to eat lots of fiber, like that found in fresh fruits and vegetables as well as whole grains. The more fiber you include in your daily diet, the softer and easier to pass your stools will be.
Witch hazel is an astringent that is commonly used as a home remedy for a hemorrhoid cure. When applied to the affected tissue, witch hazel shrinks any swelling, cools and soothes the area, and cleans the tissue so there is no residue. Drinking plenty of water will also help to get rid of hemorrhoids by softening up the stool and causing less straining during a bowel movement. Limiting your intake of meat will also help cure any hemorrhoids, because even lean meat has very little fiber in it. It is better to eat small amounts of meat with large amounts of fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains.
Many over the counter creams and lotions offer a hemorrhoid cure, but care should be taken when using any of these for the first time. Some people may be sensitive or allergic to ingredients in these creams, and that last thing you want is more swelling or irritation in the area. Surgery or other medical procedures may become necessary if your hemorrhoids start to bleed or become severe. Surgery can be done to remove or shrink the hemorrhoid, and this may be done in the hospital or the doctor’s office depending on the anesthesia and recovery needed afterwards. Infrared light can also be used during medical procedures to help stop the blood circulation to the hemorrhoid, causing it to shrivel and dry up. No matter which cure you use, you do not have to live with the pain and embarrassment of hemorrhoids.
Did you know that constipation is considered to be the number 1 cause of symptoms for hemorrhoid ?
Get Rid Of Internal Hemorrhoids
It does not have to be impossible to get rid of internal hemorrhoids, and there are many ways to get relief from this painful and embarrassing condition. Home remedies and natural treatments can help to shrink the swollen tissues and help repair any damage. Internal hemorrhoids are located on the inside of the body and are rated according to how far they extend on the inside and the outside of the anus and anal cavity. Many times hemorrhoids that are internal will have bleeding from tissue damage, and your doctor may give you a prescription medication to treat the bleeding hemorrhoid. If this medicine is not effective than other treatments may become necessary to eliminate the hemorrhoid and fix the problem.
Treatments on how to get rid of internal hemorrhoids can include using a rubber band, laser, chemical, or traditional surgery procedures to eliminate the hemorrhoid and give you effective relief. A procedure called rubber band ligation uses very small rubber bands that are placed at the hemorrhoid’s base to stop the blood supply to the tissue. This will cause the hemorrhoid to shrink and then fall off, eliminating it for good. Chemicals can be used instead of rubber bands in a procedure called Sclerotherapy, and this also stops the blood supply needed by the hemorrhoid by causing the tissue at the base to harden so no blood can get through.
Laser treatment is another treatment that will get rid of internal hemorrhoids instead of just shrinking them and relieving pain. This treatment is used for internal hemorrhoids that are bleeding, and a laser light applies a small burst of infrared light to the affected tissues, which stops the blood supply and will eliminate bleeding and the hemorrhoid. The last treatment method is called a hemorrhoidectomy, and this requires the surgical removal of the affected tissue to eliminate the hemorrhoid and any associated bleeding. This treatment will require sedation and a local anesthesia at the least, and may require general anesthesia as well as a hospital stay in some cases, depending on the severity of the surgical procedure.
